I was looking for a pub for years but never found 'The One' until one day I received a call from Punch inviting me to an open day at their head office. It was obviously fate as I had nothing booked in my very busy diary on the day in question. The Lord Roberts was offered to me shortly afterwards and I didn't hesitate to say yes. Friends and family said i was 'bonkers' given the current climate of pubs closing down daily, but I knew i could make a go of this iconic pub. All it needed was love and the rest is history. I got the keys and worked my socks off to make it Nottingham's leading safe space. Not long after taking over I was approached about sponsoring The Lions and knew we could have a great relationship as we both had the same concept of accepting difference, no matter how you identify. It gives me so much pride to see everyone in their tangerine kit with my pub's logo splashed all over the front. I absolutely love The Lions and everything they stand for and look forward to many more years of sponsorship! Thank you for the support you all give my beautiful little pub.

Unite the Union is a Trade Union that supports all the public and private workplaces in the UK, Overseas Territories and the Republic of Ireland. It also has a close working relationships with other Unions on the world stage. Unite has values of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at its heart. The representatives that make up our regional LGBT+ committee are dedicated to this cause in their workplaces and support the best interest of the membership they serve. We are also at the forefront of the national campaigns and Union policies.
We are a Union for many communities and in that respect, we also value and support community, sports and charitable organisations around the region either through funding, participation or both . We support the Nottingham Lions as we value their contribution to the LGBT+ community in the region, enriching it as they do with their vibrant activities and wins. GO LIONS!
